Welcome to the Nampa Public Library Foundation page, where you can learn more about how to donate to and support the Nampa Public Library!

MISSION: We foster partnerships to support and expand the mission of the Nampa Public Library.
VISION: Through advocacy and fundraising, we support the Library’s efforts to educate, inform, and inspire Nampa’s diverse population.

The Nampa Public Library Foundation was formed in late 2007 in order to help raise money for the Nampa Public Library. Community leaders, realizing the economic and community value of public libraries, sought a way to support the good work being done at the Nampa Public Library. They recognized that additional funding sources beyond traditional municipal revenue options were needed in order to provide enhanced programs and services for a higher level of enrichment. The Foundation has supported various popular and beneficial Nampa Public Library programs, including Super Saturday and author events. The Foundation is currently focused on continual support of Nampa’s first Bookmobile.

Meet the Foundation Board Members

RICHARD WILLIAMS
President

Rich is a 3rd generation Nampa native. He has a deep interest in reading, learning, and helping others do the same. He has family in Idaho, Utah, and France that are voracious readers, and he especially enjoys using remote technology to read his favorite books to his grandkids. His background with Micron, Intel, and Apple give him additional insight and expertise that he will utilize to continue supporting existing library services, provide operational excellence, financial guidance, and innovate in preparation for future needs of Nampa residents.

LANCE MCGRATH
Vice-President

Lance has a long record of public service in Nampa.  Community service is one of his passions.  A graduate of Northwest Nazarene University, he is the current president of the Nampa Public Library Foundation and former chair of the Nampa Planning and Zoning Commission.

Lance is an academic librarian and has served on the faculty at both Northwest Nazarene University and The College of Idaho, where he is currently eServices Librarian / Educational Technology Coordinator with the rank of Associate Professor. Lance, his wife, Marie, and their three children are active library users. He is excited by the personal and community growth and enrichment that the public library brings to Nampa.

KELLIE EVANS
Treasurer

Kellie is a 5th generation Idahoan and was born and raised in Nampa. Coming from a family of avid readers and writers, she understands the importance of books being available to people of all ages but especially children at the earliest age possible.

She attended Boise State University, has been in banking for over 20 years and currently works for DL Evans Bank in Nampa. Since June 2014, she has volunteered her bookkeeping and financial knowledge to the Library Foundation as the Treasurer.

KAREN GANSKE
Secretary

Karen retired from the Nampa Public Library in 2010 after a career of working in bookstores and libraries.

With a lifelong passion for books, reading and libraries, Karen is excited to see the new library being heavily used by Nampans. She enjoys the collections and services and online access to ebooks.

She is thankful that Nampa has a library with better work areas for library staff and space for her children, grandchildren and neighbors to experience a vibrant community center filled with stories and information.

BARRY L. MYERS, PH.D.
Board Member

Dr. Barry Myers balances his work on the Foundation with teaching at NNU and helping the library as a part of the Foundation, among other things.

Barry is a strong advocate for the new library and numerous other improvements to the downtown area.

ROSIE DELGADILLO REILLY
Board Member

Rosie, a longtime Nampa resident who grew up in Southern California, worked in education for 37 years, first as an elementary teacher and then as a school counselor. She went on to run a private counseling practice, and now works pro bono as a counselor for St. Paul’s Parish. “I am bilingual and bicultural which is most helpful in this community,” Rosie said.

Rosie cares deeply about equal access to health care and literacy services. She sat on the Nampa Public Library Board for 15 years and continues to serve on the Library Foundation and on the Terry Reilly Health Services Board. She volunteers with the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry.

“I am passionate about fostering civility and offering discourse to teach the need for children and adults to address each other and issues with respect,” she said.

DEBRA HOLM
Board Member

Debra Holm believes that Nampa’s library provides vital support for families and the community through literacy, quality programs and wholesome activities. She has been a board member of the Nampa Public Library Foundation since 2014, served on the library board for nine years, and served terms as president of both the library foundation and the Friends of the Library.

Debra grew up in Eastern Idaho, hunting, fishing, and camping with her family. She received an associate degree from Ricks College and a bachelor’s degree in English with a writing emphasis from Boise State University. She is a published author and has written a column for the Idaho Press newspaper. She and her husband, Norman, have five children and sixteen grandchildren. She believes that family is one of life’s greatest gifts and should be honored, treasured and celebrated—often, in story and song.

JEANETTE QUIST
Board Member

Jeanette Quist graduated from BYU Provo with a degree in speech and drama with a minor in English literature. During her younger years she was co producer and host for a children’s television show. She retired after 20 years as an adjunct faculty teaching multi camera television production for Butte Community College in Chico, CA.

She and her husband retired to Nampa in 2005.  Jeanette has been involved with the Friends of the Library for many years, being a part of saving the library branch in their small town in CA. She knew she didn’t want to raise her 4 children in a community without a library.

Here in Nampa, Jeanette was president of the Friends when the new library was built and the Friends bookstore was created. She is looking forward to continuing her support of the library by serving with the Foundation.
