Are you in a rush or have mobility issues? You can pick up your holds and renew your account at our walk-up Express Holds pickup window!
How does the holds pickup service work?
As soon as your hold is available, you will receive notification.
On the day you want to pick it up through our express window, call and let us know. This will allow staff to retrieve your hold, check it out to you, and have it ready at the window for when you arrive. The transaction will only take a few seconds following this procedure!
Unfortunately (due to their size) kits may not be picked up at the window!
Please only call if you are coming to pick your item(s) up that day. Your holds will only be held through the end of the day and then checked in…after that you will have to place your item(s) back on hold!
Items are checked back in because the window is an express station and not designed to store your holds overnight. Since we check them out to you in order to speed things up for you, anything not picked up has to be checked back in.
If you wish to use this service, call us at 208-468-5812 to let us know that you are coming to pick it up that day.

All other transactions must be made inside the building.
The Service window is located off 3rd Street South.
You may park at the 10-minute parking spots or in the parking garage.
Circulation staff will greet you there and hand you your holds if you have called ahead!
