Storytelling, Creative Writing, and Human Experience: A Year-Long Storytelling and Creative Writing Program

Every person has a story worth telling. Whether you have been writing for years or have never shared a single page, Storytelling, Creative Writing, and the Human Experience: A Year-Long Storytelling and Creative Writing Program invites you to explore a longstanding human tradition.

The program centers on twelve core themes, each studied over a month via two linked gatherings. The 1st Thursday of each month presents a key concept using books, stories, discussions, film, art, and writing prompts. During the 3rd Thursday of each month attendees will share their work. This cycle reflects the creative process—idea, reflection, writing, revision, and community—enabling ideas to develop gradually.

No prior writing experience is required; only curiosity, a willingness to learn, and a desire to discover the stories that connect us. By engaging in meaningful conversations, thoughtful reading, and being part of a supportive creative community, participants will improve their practical writing skills and see how stories can deepen our understanding of what it means to be human.
