Enter for your chance to win Nampa Public Library’s Comic Art Contest!
Kids, Tweens, and Teens are invited to submit original comic art (at least 4 panels in length) based on the theme: The Magic of Friendship. You can use any medium you like (ink, colored pencils, digital art, etc.) just make sure the art you submit is your own. One prize will be awarded to the winner of each age group.
Rules:
- Artwork must be in original comic format
- Artwork must be original work of the submitter. Art cannot be traced or copied. No clip art or photographs allowed except when used as reference.
- Contest entries cannot be indecent, obscene, excessively violent, gory, or profane. Entries must be suitable for all ages.
- Winning entries will be displayed at the library and on the library’s social media pages.
Entries will be judged on Storytelling (story arc, character development, conflict, resolution), Art (use of comic format, skills with medium, character design, layout, setting), and Adherence to Theme, The Magic of Friendship.
Any Lynx Consortium library card holder or a library card holder’s child between the ages of 5-18 is welcome to submit an entry. One entry per person. The age categories are 5-8, 9-12, and 13-18. Art may be submitted until 8pm on November 5. One winner will be chosen from each age group and winners will be announced the following week.
